I have a BMW R 1300 adventure with gold anodized wheels. They are notorious for being difficult to clean without dulling the finish. Just wanna make sure that this product is appropriate for that application. Of course, pH neutral, non-acidic, etc. Is it something that I can apply to other areas of the motorcycle other than the anodized aluminum wheels? Thank you!
That’s a great question! Yes. Safe all over the bike. The only way you could damage it using Red 7 is in direct sun on a super hot day and leaving it on and not rinsing it off.
This product is designed for every surface of the bike except leather bags or seat areas, while it won’t damage them, it isn’t made for cleaning those parts.
A number of Harley dealerships use this on a daily basis as a barometer for whether it will work for you or not.
Use neat, leave for the color change to take affect. Then agitate if needed and rinse off.

Is Red 7 safe for ceramic coated wheels?
Hi. Great question and a very important point. Red 7 is the safest wheel cleaner to use for ceramic coated wheels yes. We recommend to use our Rapid Glaze+ or Recharge+ after each wheel clean to keep the protection as fresh as possible.
With the nature of cleaning coated wheels compared to coated paint the extra step of Rapid Glaze+ or Recharge+ is essential for the coating to not diminish quickly.
